AMAZONIA A PLACE IN TIME

D'Amazon a place of many myths and legends
One such is a place in time called
--------- AMAZONIA ----------
Where people and nature live as one

The jungle stretches from the upper heavens to the lower home of the departed whence the sun comes and goes before doubling back under the layer where mortals dwell. It emerges at dawn and retraces the course of the moon, endlessly as it was when the first beings lived, when one of them shot the moon with an arrow and the moon�s blood fell to this layer and formed the first human being.

From that time onwards the people who lived and dwell in AMAZONIA kept rituals to the moon, sun and rain.

The URINI or the Bush People saw to it that nothing or no one abused the jungle.

The KAOBAWA'S or keepers of the Trees protected the sacred trees and used these for medicine, decor and drinks

The WILD ORCHID was one of the most beautiful flowers of AMAZONIA.

You also had the tribe that saw about mother earth such as the WAITERI or the keepers of the Black Gold (oil).

SHORINWA'S were the people of gold known as the yellow tribe and were the craftspeople.

KAOBOSHEWA of D'Diamond Dwellers were noted for the amount of diamonds they wore.

HEKURA or River people lived on the banks of the river and were very close to the OHINA or snake charmers who worshipped the ANACONDA.

At nights the BAYIENS or elders told stories to the tribes.

You also had the protectors and worshipers of birds. The YONOMANO worship the owl while the SHAMTARI worship the BLUE MACAU.

MOAWAS where fierce warriors and hunters
